Darlene was chasing something around the living room. Turns out it was a stone spider (Drassodes lapidosus).
I put him outside where Darlene can’t eat him and mother can’t squish him. D8

Just caught the most adorable false widow in my room.
She’s been hanging around for a while now. I let her stay, even though she was being quite restless, and had an annoying habit of hanging on the ceiling above me at night. Anyway, she came down to the floor, which broke one of my tenancy rules, so out she had to go!
When I caught her, though, she curled up into a ball an played dead. So much for the big, scary spider. xD

So what would you do if you discovered a relative of the black widow spider on your bed?

On of my favorite spiders! Have quite a few of these in my room~

WHY DO THEY HAVE TO DO THAT. D8
It was only a tiny baby, but when it dropped down it looked massive for a second and made me freak out. x______x

Found the first house spider of the year! This is the time when the males start roaming to look for a mate, so will probably start seeing more of them.
I tried to get him to sit on my hand, but he was having none of it, so I just scooped him up in a glass. Then when I let him go he started charging me and doing a threat display. Spiders can be so ungrateful. u_u

Pretty spider I found in the kitchen.
I’ve caught many different species, but never seen one like this! Wish I could find out what species it is.
ECHO! Do you know this one?
Did a bit of Googling, and I believe it’s an Enoplognatha ovata. Such pretty little things!

There’s a really massive spider that lives under the windowsill of the dinning room.
Anyway, I just watched Polly sniff it’s web, when the spider ran out right up to her face. They eyed each other for a moment or two before Polly lunged at it, and the poor spider had to run for cover before it got eaten by Polly. It was pretty amusing. xD

Our garden shed is an arachnophobes worst nightmare. Spiders absolutely cover every surface of the walls and ceiling. I like spiders, but even I get creeped out going in there. x_x
Anyway, this big spider has lived in the same corner for many years. She’s by far the biggest spider in there, but since she stays in her web she’s not that scary, (although she looks pretty freaky in this photo, lol.)
I also found the biggest false widow I’ve ever seen, (more then twice the size of a normal one), and the cutest baby house spider just outside the shed door. I gave it a woodlouse, but it didn’t like it and got mad throwing it around the web! I’ll have to get a video of it sometime, it’s so adorable~

It’s so cute and tiny, ;~;
Just a shame the one spider I find in my room is too small to eat all the moths. 8|

He made the fatal mistake of trying to crawl down the wall. >o
I felt too guilty too put him out in the cold, though, so I let him go in the bathroom where he wont bother anyone.
I’ve lectured this spider so many times about not coming into my room, but does it ever listen? u_u
Stupid spider. e.e

This is the spider that always builds it’s web across the middle of the garden. u_u
He is very pretty though. And friendly. He lets me pet him and feed him woodlice!
